Our Programs
Farrelly's Feet
Binghamton has one of the highest concentrations of childhood poverty in the Southern Tier — 71% of BCSD students qualify for free lunch. A properly fitting pair of sneakers is a real financial stretch for many families, and going without one is a safety issue for growing feet. Farrelly's Feet began with 50 pairs donated to Noah's own elementary school, MacArthur, and has grown to serve all seven BCSD elementary schools with more than 2,000 pairs donated to date.
We deliver sneakers mid-year, when most shoe drives have moved on but growing feet need help just as much.
Kind Soles Initiative
Facilitated by the Binghamton City School District, Kind Soles pairs motivational kindness assemblies for every BCSD student, grades K-12, with a community-wide shoe drive. The assemblies are led by Brian Williams of Think Kindness, whose movement has reached more than 1,000 schools nationwide. Students leave with a challenge: document 5,000 acts of kindness in just 15 days.
No act of kindness is too small — every pair collected funds new sneakers through Farrelly's Feet.
Kindness Counts Scholarship
Noah was a strong student and a talented athlete, but what stood out most about him was his empathy — and we believe that deserves the same recognition as grades or athletic ability. We invite BCSD students, faculty, and staff to nominate someone who has shown a spirit of humanity and goodwill toward others. The winner is chosen by a committee of friends dear to Noah's heart.
Contact the Binghamton High School guidance office for nomination details.
Runner Safety & Wearable IDs
On the morning he was struck, Noah wasn't carrying identification. He arrived at the hospital nameless, and it took nine hours to reach our family — Noah was 230 miles away. Since 2019, we've provided free wearable identification and road safety education to young runners, distributing more than 1,000 wearable IDs to date. Today the program is focused on fully funding wearable IDs for BCSD athletes.
So no other family has to face what we did.
Healthy Kids Running Series
We're proud to serve as the bib sponsor for the Healthy Kids Running Series, a five-week program each spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade at Otsiningo Park. Every week brings a new age-appropriate race, from a 50-yard dash to a full mile, with an adaptive Challenger Division so kids of all abilities can take part.
Medals for everyone, and a community showing up week after week — exactly the kind of place Noah would have loved.
The Noah Farrelly Run & Southside Field Day
For seven years, the Run & Field Day brought our community together each spring for a road race, a kickball tournament, and a free Kids' Zone.
In 2025, we held it for the last time — Noah always said “go big or go home,” and that final event did exactly that. The Noah Run course and weekend now live on as the Lt. Scott Pavlick Heart-Strong 5K & Festival, honoring a Binghamton firefighter who spent that final race day with us.
The event has ended, but the ripple effect of good it set in motion hasn't.
It lives on in every scholarship awarded, every child with new shoes, and every runner who makes it home safely.
